2006 James Cole Petit Verdot
Napa Valley
Petit Verdot ripens late in France due to the rainy season, which is why it is not typically bottled on its own by the famed first growth Chateaux. However, with Napa’s long growing season, it’s able to fully ripen, showcasing an array of aromas and flavors. This wine’s bouquet has hints of spice, blueberry, violets and pencil shavings. It may take a while to open, but when it does, your palate will be pleased with raspberries, caramel, coffee and truffles.
