2018 Pinot Noir
The amazing Sun Chase Vineyard is located where the Petaluma Wind Gap meets Sonoma Mountain, this 40-acre sustainably farmed site is perched at 1,200 to 1,400 feet elevation on a southwestern facing hillside above the fog line. A powerful wine loaded with beautiful nuance and character, full of loads of wild dark berries, Bing cherries, violets, strawberry and sweet spices. It shows power and elegance along the mid palate, with bright acidity and a long, velvety finish. We have to believe that this will be your “go-to” Pinot Noir after just one glass.

2017 Malbec
Ripe black and blue fruits of berry intertwine with dark chocolate, violet, rosemary, garam masala, caramel, and cedar notes that dominate up front and transition to vanilla, green tea, and white pepper with licorice and coffee bean on the finish. Bold, silky and firm tannins melt across the palate with a very broad mid-palate that leads to a smooth, lingering finish. This wine should age well over the next 5-10 years.

2017 Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is just 22 barrels worth of wine and it is simply spectacular. We were very fortunate to pick about 90% of our grapes prior to the fires hitting Napa Valley on the evening of October 8, 2017. (The remaining 10% of Cab grapes that had not yet been harvested were sadly declassified and not bottled by us, so you are guaranteed to be getting a wine that was in no way affected by smoke taint.) The result is a classic James Cole Cabernet Sauvignon with beautiful and complex aromas of chocolate, toasty mocha, orange peel and plum, while deep layers of rich blackcurrant and blackberry compote flavors meld with its silky texture, great intensity and superb concentration and stunning length. An incredibly exciting wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for the next 15 years.
