'Suede' started as the vision of our talented winemaker, Bertus van Zyl. For many years, he roamed the vineyards, walking row by row learning the distinct flavor profile of each vine so that we could capitalize on vineyard diversity and pick each row when flavors and tannins reached optimal maturity. This passion encouraged us to push further and explore a new variety of maceration techniques, cooperages, and aging lengths.

An evocative bouquet of black raspberry and kirsch unfolds with polished cedar, dark chocolate, and fine cocoa powder, lifted by subtle florals and exotic spice. The palate is seamless and deeply composed, revealing concentrated dark berry fruit shaped by a quiet mineral thread and subtle sweet-cream nuance. Exquisitely fine-grained tannins give the wine its signature suede-like texture, carrying it with unhurried confidence toward a long, resonant finish marked by balance, precision, and grace.
