We've always enjoyed sharing glimpses of our family life alongside news from James Cole Winery. You've heard about our kids growing up, their funny sayings, and how they inspire us to be better every day.

Our daughter Marleigh has blossomed into a remarkable young woman. She's bright, charismatic, and confident. She's still a kid at heart (who maybe leaves the closet light on!), but we wanted to celebrate how much she's grown. So, in 2016, we created "Marls," a blend as vibrant and unique as she is. This wine, like our Marleigh, is bright, bold, and refined.

The 2023 Marls is vibrant and savory, with layers of boysenberry, black cherry and pomegranate unfolding into delicate notes of lavender, dried herbs and warm baking spice. The palate is creamy and beautifully textured, balancing generous dark fruit with freshness and finely structured tannins that lend definition to a lingering finish. A 30- minute decant allows the wine to open gracefully, revealing greater nuance, depth and suppleness.
